BurkeRickhards have been appointed to design this new sporting facility in greenbelt land on the fringe of Maidenhead.
This significant leisure facility containing a 10 lane 25m pool and 10 court sports hall, has been designed to respond appropriately to its
parkland setting and connect the facility to the wider sporting provisions of Braywick Park.
A key feature of the design is the integration of a public winter garden through the building, which separates the
wet side facilities to the dry side sports hall. By creating this public avenue within the building, access
to external sporting provisions and important parkland behind is enhanced for the benefit of the community.
This elegant and sophisticated design solution responds effectively to the way in which people
interact with leisure facilities and the wider parkland setting.
